Georgia was previously ranked 9th in the AP Poll and 10th in the Coaches Poll. The Bulldogs jumped over Florida State and Louisville in both polls and Texas A&M in the Coaches.
The Top 5 in both polls remained the same. In the AP, Alabama is No. 1, followed by Oregon, Clemson, Ohio State, and Stanford. The Coaches Poll is the same except for Ohio State is third and Clemson is fourth.
Notre Dame, which lost to Oklahoma, and Wisconsin, which lost to Ohio State, fell out of both polls. Ole Miss fell out of the Coaches Poll and dropped to 24th in the AP after being shut out by Alabama 25-0.
Teams entering the polls this week include Arizona State (22 AP, 24 Coaches), Maryland (25 AP), Northern Illinois (23 Coaches), and Nebraska (25 Coaches).
As a result of their loss at Georgia, the LSU Tigers fell five spots to No. 11 in the Coaches Poll and four spots to No. 10 in the AP. Oklahoma State, which lost to West Virginia, dropped the most of any team, falling 10 spots to 21st in the AP and nine spots to 20th in the Coaches.
