"(Nina) was hanging a lot with Derek's sister Julianne," a source told Us Weekly. "Then she fell for him."Another insider told E! News that Dobrev and the "Dancing With the Stars" hunk have been seeing each other since August, while another source added their relationship is "already somewhat serious."
Dobrev used her social media this week to show her fans how proud she was of Hough, 28, after he took home the Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography.
In another photo she posted a picture of the Hough siblings on the red carpet at the show expressing how much she wanted to be there with them.
"I wish I wasnt filming so I could have been there to celebrate w/u guys!" she captioned the Emmy snap.
Photos of Dobrev palling around with her rumored beau's sister date back on Julianne's Instagram page to the Met Gala in May.
This also so happened to be right around the time Dobrev split from her boyfriend and co-star, Ian Somerhalder, after three years of dating.
Despite their breakup, the two former lovers seem to still be very supportive of one another.The 24-year-old brunette beauty posted on her Instagram Tuesday a picture of Somerhalder holding up an award from Conde Nast Traveler.
Somerhalder is just as supportive of his ex-girlfriend.When Dobrev was Cosmopolitan's September cover girl, he uploaded a picture of the magazine on a shelf while shopping.
"In a store this morning-who do I see?The one&only@ninadobrev These things are almost gone so If you haven't gotten this magazine off of a shelf-get one. One word: Stunning... Congrats Nina! Xo Ian."
To add some more proof that Dobrev has moved on with Hough, a fan captured the rumored new couple in a video holding hands at L.A.’s Rooselvelt Hotel in early September.
Reps for both Hough and Dobrev declined to comment on their clients' personal lives.
