Xiaolian nose: A nose grown on a man's forehead is as bizarre as it is amazing, Xiaolian nose is one of the most bizarre sights ever seen as doctors grow a new nose on a man’s forehead to replace his own nose, which he lost in an accident. The patients nickname is “Xiaolian,” who is 22-years-old, suffered a “severe nasal trauma” in a serious car accident a year ago, according to Fox News on Sept. 25.

The nose looks perfectly formed, it has two very distinct nostrils and looks just like a normal nose except that it is sticking out of the man’s left side of his forehead. Finances held the man back from getting the plastic surgery that would have built his nose back up after the accident. The doctors did nothing more than a medical remedy instead.

Surgeons came up with growing the nose on his forehead, which is the first attempt to do so in the world. The doctors used a skin tissue expander on Xiaolian’s forehead and cut it into the shape of a nose. They used cartilage they took from his ribs to complete the creation of the nose.

Once the nose is fully grown, it will get surgically planted on the spot where the man’s nose should be. It is nothing short of amazing. This is being done at a hospital in Fuzhou City, east China’s Fujian Province., not here in the U.S.A. where you'd expect this cutting edge medical procedure to take place.
